A Note from Karen

Readers have been asking for a fan conference for years and I'm thrilled to announce the first FeverCon will be held October 1-3, 2010 in downtown Atlanta.

What is FeverCon? It's a 3-day celebration of the most feverish fans out there! On the agenda are books, special guests, music and a whole lot of partying!

I've been blessed with wonderful readers that I feel such a connection to, and I've been wanting to organize an event where we could spend quality time together--more than just a few frenzied minutes at a book signing.

In order to get as much time with fans as possible, we planned the Con to include three catered meals: dinner Friday, lunch Saturday and brunch Sunday.

Because we'll be having meals together, we'll get to spend the bulk of the weekend in an intimate setting as a group, rather than all of us going our separate ways, until the appointed time of an event. Be sure to get raffle tickets for the meals when you register to sit with me or one of our special guests.

I invited some friends to join us for the weekend and am delighted to announce the special guests attending FeverCon include my inspiration for Jericho Barrons-actor, model, director and musician Eric Etebari! He has something special planned for the Maniacs! Audie award winning narrator Phil Gigante, the sexy voice of my Highlanders and JZB will be the Master of Ceremonies at the Costume Ball. And paranormal authors extraordinaire Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole will be doing a workshop, talking big, hunky heroes, signing books and hanging out!

We've also got a fantastic concert lined up with Neil Dover and his band. They'll be playing songs from BloodRush as well as new material from ShadowSong, the CD companion to Shadowfever. We'll be videoing the concert to use clips online, so be ready to rock out! Both Eric and Phil have agreed to sit in and jam for a few songs.

On Saturday night we're having a spectacular Pink and Black Mac Ball (wait til you see the fun we have planned, and yes, there are some spoilers for Shadowfever going on at the Con, the ball will be decked out like Chester's on Valentine's Day!) where you can come dressed as your favorite version of Mac or any other Fever character. There might even be an extra teaser or two from Shadowfever. How can I resist, with Eric and Phil there to bring JZB to life?

I promise you a weekend to remember, full of laughter, friendship and tons of awesome giveaways. I hope to see you there!

Stay to the lights~

Karen
